 MOAC will share your news and and would love to hear from you on whats going on the the marans community. We'll seek out what we can for you as well.  We will strive to keep the page updated and even share some of the content with our monthly newsletter subscribers.  That mailing  list is well over 100 subscribers now.

MOAC is now offering Junior memberships for children under age 16. 
 
Family Farms Memberships is also a new option for Families with children under the age of 16.
 
MOAC is now offering Legs Bands for all your show and breeding stock.
They are awesome metal leg bands that are engraved with Marans of America Club. Year 2010 and are for cocks or hens. Be sure and check out the MOAC logo products page to order.

Karen Tewart has accepted position as Director of Archives for MOAC. We are very excited to have her a board.
 
"I live in western PA with Hubby Bob and son Owen. We have Golden Salmon Marans from Ed Hess and Debbie Thomsen. I'm a trained book-scout, working 2000-2008 for a prominent dog book author and archivist. I have a research acknowledgment in her latest book which, in 2010, was voted best dog book in the US for 2009. 

My greatest interest is in rare and obscure animal lit. Previous work  includes creation of the Yahoogroups BookWork & BreedHistory database. A bibliography of online dog lit cites granting access to over $43,000  worth of books. Similar databases were created for the MBOA and Sussex-Breeders yahoo groups.
 Plus experience creating several personal collections of rare dog and poultry lit.
    Marans are a fascinating challenge as so much lit is in French and published post 1926. I look forward to working with Marans enthusiasts everywhere to gather Marans knowledge in all media types to our Archives."  Suggestions? Please feel free t contact me at bellscolly@comcast.net

Two new donations to MOAC Club from our new members Karen Tewart. Karen has also accepted the MOAC's board position our new Director of Archives. We want to give Karen a very warm welcome and special thank.

Welcome Karen and thank you so much for the donations so that we can now have excellent pictures of members and their  birds at the shows. This will also be a great way to show future references with  pictures of the Breeders and Marans birds achievements.
 
 We thank you greatly Karen for your generosity  and are anxious to have a wonderful archive database on Marans.
