The Purpose of Showing

We are excited that many of the Marans of America Club members are striving to show as many French Standard Marans in the APA Sanctioned Shows. The only way that the Black Copper Marans will be excepted into the APA Standard Book of Perfection is to show as many of the correct standard birds as possible.  It's still a work in progress and marans breeders should all aim for the same French Standards. If  the correct standard birds are  all the APA judges have to look and judge by, then I am assured that the Black Copper Marans will be a accepted correctly. We can't go wrong if we do it correctly.
